The desert sun bleaches wood, the wind whistles through broken windows, and you can almost imagine cowboys, miners, and shopkeepers still going about their day. For me, it became a doorway into storytelling—an irresistible mix of history, mystery, and imagination.

Inspiration for My Teen Adventure Series

These ghost towns and desert legends sparked the idea for my own teen adventure series, The Ghostly Legends Society and the Mystery of the Lost Dutchman’s Gold.

In my story, four friends set out to explore Arizona’s rugged trails. What starts as an ordinary summer adventure quickly turns into something far bigger, as they uncover whispers of hidden chambers, ancient carvings, and myths that refuse to stay buried.

I wrote this series as G-rated teen fiction, deliberately leaving out darker themes like murder or mayhem. Instead, I wanted to give young readers the thrill of discovery and the excitement of unraveling secrets—without the violence so common in modern YA stories.
